Luminous Leonid

Regional Director

Leonid Tunik, Regional Director

Leonid started running CTWokshop programs in the Boston area in 2006 after working in the publishing industry and running a small publishing business. Today, he is truly blessed with instructors and staff who are stellar, committed, and loved by kids and parents alike.

Favorite icamp adventure: "Olympics. I think it's the most under-rated adventure of all. It seems odd on the surface, but I think it has an incredible creative potential once campers start thinking about all the possibilities. I mean really -- Team Skeleton Throw? Catapult Relay Race? How can you not make a story about that?"

Boston Tommy

Club Instructor and icamp Counselor

Boston Tommy comes to CTWorkshop from a music and audio engineering background. He is an avid fan of everything Boston (hence the nickname), a student of classic rock, blues, and jazz, and a proud owner of several vintage guitars. Tommy has been teaching kids, adults, and everyone in between for about 10 years and holds a MA EEC (Early Education & Care) certificate as well as a MA Teaching Certificate.

Alkaline Allison

Club Instructor and icamp Director

Allison studied biochemistry with an eye toward academic research before she realized that what she really enjoyed was hands-on teaching and working with kids in science-related subjects. Whether it be hiking around a rainforest to study neotropical ecology or working in a lab to understand biochemical interactions, she believes that hands on learning is the way to go. She brings this love for learning science to all classes with CTWorkshop, and works hard to bring a true understanding of complicated topics to the kids through fun, approachable, and engaging activities. Allison has been teaching with CTWorkshop since Fall 2011.

Boisterous Bonnie

Boisterous BonnieBonnie has been boisterously teaching academic and after-school classes, and helping out in icamp since October 2006. Prior to discovering CTWorkshop, she was teaching elementary school and coaching figure skating. Her classes at CTWorkshop always earn top ratings, and she is loved by parents, colleagues, and children (including her own).

Up Up Ally

Program Director

Allyson, Program Director

Allyson has been guiding icamp adventures, teaching classes, and coordinating programs with CTWorkshop since March 2007. In this work she has directly helped hundreds of kids channel their creativity into successful projects, and indirectly contributed to all of our successful programs by making sure everything runs smoothly. Her training is in multimedia design, but she has also coached gymnastics for over a decade. Allyson has two very lucky children who are now expert at ALL icamp adventures.

Favorite icamp adventure: "Hands down Architecture. Architect Castles, Tree Houses, Space Stations, Underwater houses!I love this adventure because it allows for endless creative possibilities. Drafting a design is as simple as moving a few shapes then you are transported to a 3D world where creativity is unleashed."

TNT Tara

Tara, Marketing Coordinator and camp DirectorSenior Instructor and icamp Director

Tara’s interest in teaching grew from years helping her mother in a special education classroom and learning to teach students with different educational needs. She has a Master’s degree in Critical and Creative Thinking and wrote her graduate thesis on the teaching and learning that takes place in CTW programs. Tara joined CTWorkshop May 2008 and teaches after-school programs, runs parties, and is a director at CTWorkshop’s icamp program. She is trained in CPR and First Aid.

Eddie Spaghetti

Eddie Spaghetti

Senior Club Instructor and icamp Counselor

Ed has been teaching with CTWorkshop since October 2008. He is an electrical engineer with training in music technology and media production. Eddy is excellent at making the complicated sound simple, which comes in especially handy in explaining music theory and programming. When not teaching CTW after school classes or at icamp, Ed works in sound engineering and teaches video game design at Suffolk University.

Favorite icamp adventure: "Gamemaker because i love having the opportunity to see the different kinds of code the kids develop for their games or their excitement when they figure out something new. i also appreciate how well the kids in this adventure work together testing out other games and helping each other with programming. However, I also love Music Mogul because i am a die hard musician and i love seeing kids express themselves through music. it's especially wonderful to see kids who have never formally studied music sit down with the mixing software and realize that they can create their own compositions with relative ease. some of the stuff they come up with is truly amazing."
